This Is Our Country

Launching August 27, 2026

Join Kelvin T. (The Royal Doctor) for the official launch of a thought-provoking book that explores Zimbabwe's past, examines its present, and invites a new generation to imagine its future.

About the Book

What does it mean to inherit a nation shaped by the past while carrying the responsibility of tomorrow? This Is Our Country invites readers into that conversation.

This debut is a thoughtful exploration of Zimbabwe's past, present, and future. Through reflections on history, identity, leadership, and the resilience of its people, the book invites readers to consider how the lessons of yesterday can shape a stronger tomorrow.

Rather than dwelling only on the nation's challenges, it offers a hopeful perspective—encouraging every Zimbabwean to embrace their shared heritage, take responsibility for the present, and contribute to building a better future.

Whether you are passionate about Zimbabwe's history, interested in national development, or simply seeking a fresh perspective on the country's journey, this book offers insight, reflection, and inspiration.

About the Author

Kelvin Tadiwanashe, affectionately known as "The Royal Doctor," is a Christian author, student leader, and proud Zimbabwean whose passion for history, leadership, and national identity inspired his debut book, This Is Our Country: Between Memory and Tomorrow.

His love for literature first took root while serving as Head Boy at Direct Contact High School, where writing became more than an academic pursuit—it became a way of exploring ideas, preserving stories, and inspiring others. Alongside his passion for writing, Kelvin has long been fascinated by history, particularly biographies and the events that shape individuals, societies, and nations.

Currently in his final year studying International Relations with French at the University of Nottingham Malaysia, Kelvin serves as Head of Ambassadors on the International Students' Bureau, leading a diverse team of student ambassadors. Among friends and fellow students, he is widely recognised for his unwavering love for Zimbabwe and the African continent—a passion that has earned him the affectionate nickname "the King of Africa."

Through his writing, Kelvin seeks to encourage thoughtful reflection on Zimbabwe's past, present, and future, inviting readers to embrace their heritage, take responsibility for the present, and participate in shaping a hopeful tomorrow.
